Why did I buy a mountain bike?

It’s pretty straightforward to be honest, I need to move more, gain in fitness and clear my head now and then.

I borrowed an MTB from a friend, a 7 year old Giant fully. Way to small for my measurements, 26 inch wheels, SPD/flat pedals and a bit of a rusty chain and cassette.

Dropped a message to another friend who regularly conquered the local MTB routes. Met up at the starting point and introduced me to the sport. After 3 km I managed to attack a wooden but wet obstacle, dropped really hard on my left shoulder and thigh, shaved my right shinbone on the pedals during the fall.

Was this the end of my mountainbike adventure? I stood up, though a bit dizzy, but with the biggest smile possible! Adrenaline managed to pump me up and made me finish a fairly decent first time crosscountry ride of approximately 22 km in just about 1:30 hours.

So, I bought a mountainbike!

Expected delivery somewhere between 11 and 22 October.

I bought a mountain bike.
